This project is a trend-driven skincare social ad designed to sit comfortably within high-end beauty content on platforms like Instagram Reels and TikTok. The focus is on blending polished visuals with energetic pacing to create a modern, scroll-stopping brand moment.

Where the complexity showed up

The edit uses a mixed-media approach to elevate standard skincare footage. Graphic illustrations and stylized overlays are layered into the transitions, adding movement and personality while guiding the viewer from product application to visible results. These elements introduce a sense of artistry without overwhelming the clean aesthetic of the brand.

The Solution

How the experience was shaped

Branding is integrated directly into the environment rather than reserved for an end card! Large, bold typography is placed behind the talent and masked into the scene, creating depth and making the Dermalogica name feel embedded within the visual world of the ad.

A high-key lighting setup and minimal color palette keep the focus on skin texture and clarity. Whites, soft greys, and natural tones dominate the frame, allowing the product design and standout details to pop naturally. The pacing remains upbeat and fluid, driven by music and dynamic framing.
