The Brief

What the project needed to accomplish

Bala is a gut health supplement brand built around a clinically developed pre- and probiotic formula. While the product itself was well-researched and effective, the existing website did not clearly communicate its composition, purpose, or scientific background. Product information was fragmented, visual structure was inconsistent, and users lacked a clear understanding of how the supplement worked or how it should be used. The goal of this project was to redesign and rebuild the website as a clear, structured, and credible digital product that accurately reflects the quality of the supplement.

The Challenge

Where the complexity showed up

The previous website made it difficult for users to understand Bala’s formulation and benefits. Key ingredients such as Lactobacillus Rhamnosus and FOS were not presented in a clear or accessible way, and scientific information was either missing or buried in dense content. The visual design lacked cohesion and did not balance approachability with clinical credibility. Testimonials, clinical references, and educational content were present but disconnected, reducing overall clarity and trust. The platform needed a complete structural and visual rethink.

The Solution

How the experience was shaped

We carried out a full website redesign and front-end rebuild with a focus on information structure, readability, and usability. A new visual system was introduced using clean typography, animated supplement visuals, and a minimal white–green color palette to create a calm, clinical, and approachable interface. Messaging such as “Healthy Gut Your Way” and “Trouble Losing Weight?” was used to clearly introduce the product’s purpose without overwhelming users. The homepage was restructured to clearly separate education, product explanation, and next steps. Interactive elements such as “Order Now” and “Take Quiz” were implemented as navigation entry points rather than sales-driven prompts, allowing users to move through the site based on interest and personal context. A carousel of clinical and media references, including mentions from Stanford and Business Insider, was integrated to provide external validation without interrupting content flow. Product pages were rebuilt to prioritize understanding. Ingredients like Lactobacillus Rhamnosus and FOS were explained using scroll-based visual sections and expandable content blocks, allowing users to explore the science at their own pace. The testimonial section was redesigned to present verified user experiences in a structured and readable format, incorporating star ratings, quotes, and user-generated visuals from customers such as Yasmine Grossa. All components were built to be responsive, performant, and easy to maintain, ensuring consistency across devices and future scalability.

The Outcome

What the work delivered next

After launch, the redesigned platform demonstrated clear improvements in how users interacted with and understood the product. The website supported higher completion of key user actions, increased repeat usage, and longer interaction with educational content. Users also reported tangible product-related outcomes, including a 78% reduction in unhealthy cravings, while repeat purchases increased by 65% within the first 60 days. Overall site interaction depth improved, bounce rate decreased by 35%, and the platform began functioning as a clear, credible reference point for Bala’s product and science. By focusing on structure, clarity, and presentation rather than optimization tactics, the Bala website was transformed into a stable, informative, and trustworthy digital product that accurately represents the supplement and supports long-term use.
